The Flybuys 50 gives us an opportunity to celebrate some of our most engaged members, and gives them a platform to share their secrets to success so others can experience more value. We started our nationwide search by looking for members who show off the Flybuys attitude in all sorts of ways — not just the points-rich. After crunching the numbers, running opt-in surveys and doing rounds of interviews to learn more about them, we found 50 members sent us in their snazzy selfies so we could put faces to the names, and 10 lucky members got to be part of a fancy photoshoot. Think you're Flybuys 50 material, too? Keep playing the points game and you could be in the running for 2024!
OLUGBENGA
Mildura, VIC.

“There are a lot of opportunities that you can get with Flybuys.”
For Olugbenga, there is only one team that can rival his beloved Arsenal. That’s the points-collecting team he’s built with his wife and eldest son. Together, they’re pooling their points for rewards the whole family can enjoy.
Whether they’re converting points to Flybuys dollars, tapping into the Rewards Store or playing great soccer for their community team, Olugbenga is cheering his family on. Without a doubt, his points game plan is definitely a keeper.
What do you wish you knew when you first started your Flybuys journey?
I wish I knew that there are a lot of opportunities, not only to get points from Coles. As the primary cardholder, I thought I was the only one who could get points. By linking my wife and eldest son to my account, I have the opportunity to collect as many points as I can.
You love converting your points to Flybuys dollars. What do you put them towards?
Most of the time, my wife and I use our Flybuys dollars for grocery shopping at Coles or, we’ll get one or two drinks for the weekend from Liquorland. I’m a whiskey man.
You’re a points-collecting superstar. What’s your favourite hack to collect more points when you shop?
My favourite hack is activating the offers and making sure they don't expire before I go shopping. I follow tricks, like making sure that we fuel up our cars at Shell Coles Express. When I'm not working, instead of wasting my time, I sit down to do some surveys from Flybuys partners. It’s a good way to get some extra points.
What’s something people might not realise you can collect points on?
People might not realise they can collect points from new partners like Bunnings or Officeworks. They might do a big shop at Bunnings for their home renovations or buy back to school items at Officeworks and not realise that they can get points from there.
Can you tell us about some of the items you’ve picked up from the Rewards Store?
I bought my wife some hair straighteners from the Rewards Store and we also purchased a rice cooker and a kettle too. I also got my daughter and I matching headphones.
Have you shopped anywhere new or tried a new product, just for the points?
I like getting offers for new items. I’ve tried a few of the grocery items from Coles and really liked them. I actually have a risotto from Coles waiting for me at home. It tastes great when there are extra points attached.
You’ve got questions. They’ve got answers.
Pay in points, like Olugbenga.
